63% of business leaders surveyed in our UNLOCKED: Tech and the Boardroom report said that the person tasked with leading the organisation’s technology function reports to the CEO.

Broken down by geography, 70% of tech leaders in the US report to the CEO, compared to only 62% in the UK. At the same time, 75% of respondents said their technology leaders sit on the board or executive committee.

Considering the importance of the tech leader not only in maintaining the day to day, but in defining an organisation’s direction, should more tech leaders have a seat at the boardroom table?
