Christiaan Cummine joined The IN Group after an 18-year career at Hays, bringing with him deep experience in technology leadership and a strong understanding of how the recruitment industry is evolving. He initially joined as Chief Technology Officer, where he is responsible for shaping the organisation’s technology vision and ensuring it actively supports the company’s growth and ambitions. His focus spans product development, AI, data and analytics, and the broader digital transformation of the business — helping teams use technology in smarter, more effective ways.

More recently, Christiaan has also stepped into the role of Chief Operating Officer, expanding his responsibilities across operations while continuing to lead the technology strategy. Known for his collaborative and pragmatic approach, he’s passionate about building teams that embrace innovation, move quickly and continuously improve how the business works for both clients and employees.

James Cox is the visionary CEO and Founder of BioTalent, a company he launched in 2018 to revolutionise STEM recruitment. With a passion for science, sales, and connecting exceptional talent with pioneering organisations, James has led BioTalent to become a trusted partner in the life sciences sector. His leadership is defined by a commitment to innovation, excellence, and fostering growth within the global STEM landscape.

Before founding BioTalent, James honed his expertise at Hobson Prior, where he achieved record-breaking permanent billings and played a pivotal role in expanding the Acacium Group’s global footprint. In 2023, James spearheaded BioTalent’s acquisition by The IN Group, creating a global specialist division with over 60 experts dedicated to solving the talent shortage in life sciences.

As Head of Culture for The IN Group and part of the People & Culture leadership team, my role is to embed culture at the heart of everything we do – complimenting and underpinning the work of our HR, L&D and TA teams.  

With a background spanning 20 years in talent and recruitment sales, business partnering and leadership support, I took on the role of setting up the Culture function in 2022.  Influencing our people experience from onboarding and benefits, to development, engagement and recognition, while partnering with senior leaders to support insight-driven decisions and initiatives.

I focus on creating experiences that foster belonging, high-performance, and an elevated people experience that helps our people to feel connected, valued, and inspired to continually evolve and shape their future with the business.

Passionate about wellbeing, emotional health and finding balance, I lead our wellbeing and engagement strategies, our listening and action strategy, and workplace initiatives.  Supported by an incredibly talented team, we bring our culture to life through impactful communications, events and experiences, that excite and unite our people,  brands and communities.
